The Wanda Diamond League is a high-profile global series of athletics competitions launched by World Athletics in 2010. It ranks only below the Olympic Games and the World Athletics Championships in terms of prestige. The Wanda Diamond League 2023 season consists of 14 events worldwide, starting with the first event in Doha, Qatar on May 5th, and concluding with the final held in Eugene, United States on September 16th-17th. 

Each year, the Wanda Diamond League attracts thousands of top athletes from around the world, including Olympic champions, World Championship winners, and world record holders. The competitions are broadcasted and covered by media globally, with TV broadcasts reaching over 160 television stations worldwide. In 2022, the Diamond League had a global TV audience of 257 million, with China being its largest market, accounting for an audience of 222 million TV viewers. 

The Wanda Diamond League Xiamen Meeting will feature 13 events, including men's 100m, 110m hurdles, 400m, 800m, 3000m steeplechase, and triple jump, as well as women's 400m, 400m hurdles, 1500m, 3000m, high jump, long jump, and discus. The competition will take place at the newly constructed Egret Stadium, which is shaped like a soaring egret with views of Xiamen Bay, providing spectators with a brand-new viewing experience!
